Glen Foerd Wedding Philadelphia

Tim & Elena’s Glen Foerd wedding was a truly beautiful day. They utilized Glen Foerd’s wedding suites to get ready and the upstairs suite is one of the best in the area. I think that will show in the photos below. They also happened to have one of the most beautiful days of the entire year, which complimented the outdoor ceremony perfectly.

The first look was at Glen Foerd as you can’t wrong doing anything on their grounds. As always the focus of the day though was on photojournalistic coverage. It’s truly amazing the results when everyone is on board with not performing for the camera. The ability to tell their real story as if they hadn’t hired a photographer at all is a true dream!

I scheduling downtime to every couple I work with. You can read more about the why’s and how’s of that HERE. The time to breath and take the moment in are invaluable in my opinion. Not only does it give you a chance to relax with your closest friends and family, but it creates opportunities for stunning candid photos. The downtime these two had before their ceremony was needed. The morning was running a little late and this was their first chance to relax a little bit.

As always, nothing besides the first look portraits in this post were posed or staged. I had absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the day besides being there to click the shutter button. The beautiful moment between Tim and Elena after the ceremony where he kisses her forehead, all them. The walk they took during the reception to take in the sunset on the river, all them. This is why I’m so thorough leading up to the wedding day though. Twice during that process they enthusiastically mentioned sneaking away for themselves. I don’t think they even realized they did it or how excited they were about it. But I made lots of notes about it and made sure to never lose track of them during the day. That led to some truly beautiful moments that they can now cherish forever as photographs instead of just memories.
