Drew and Dave’s Moorestown Community House wedding was a beautiful March wedding. This was my first time back to the Moorestown Community Center for a wedding since they finished their renovations. I can now say the venue is more beautiful than ever!

My favorite photo from Drew and Dave’s Moorestown Community House Wedding was a moment that I know moved Drew & her father at the Reveal Party. Through our calls leading up to the wedding day I had learned about Drew’s mom who had passed away. Turns out that they were getting married in the same church as Drew’s parents were married. Every time they were in that church Drew said she always felt like her mom was looking down. As Drew and her Dad walked into the church they stepped into the doorway waiting for their musical cue to walk down the aisle.
As soon as they stepped into the doorway I noticed the stained glass figure looking down at them. The composition and moment hit me in a way I’ve never felt during a wedding day. I want to say in punched me in the stomach but that sounds too dramatic. I was definitely overwhelmed by the moment though. I quickly stepped back so that I could add the stained glass to the composition and as I was framing Drew and her Dad in the adjacent doorway, they turned towards each other and shared that moment so many brides and their father’s share seconds before walking down the aisle together. I can’t tell you how many amazing compositions never come together because the moment between the people in the photo isn’t there to complete the photograph. This was definitely NOT one of those times.
This photograph was pretty early in their Moorestown Community House wedding day. It’s always tough thinking you have such a powerful photo and not being able to tell anyone. Let alone process it and make sure everything is as special as you thought it was. So it was a long but super fun day after that!
